- Based on the original British MasterChef, MasterChef New Zealand is a competitive reality television cooking competition in New Zealand.
- The first episode debuted on TV One on February 3rd at 7:30 p.m.
- Judges for the competition include Mark Wallbank, Ray McVinnie, Josh Emett, Al Brown, and Simon Gault.
- The programme follows the same concept as MasterChef Australia, with participants taking part in weekly team and solo elimination challenges.
- After a six-year gap, TV3 announced in November 2021 that Masterchef NZ would return.
- In Seventh season aired on 22 May 2022.

MasterChef New Zealand 2024 Entry Criteria:
- Applicants must be a citizen of New Zealand or a permanent occupant.
- A minimum age of 18 is required at the time of the audition.
- Applicants must having a strong set of culinary skills, you must truly love to cook.
- They cannot have worked in a professional or semi-professional kitchen, nor may they possess a formal catering qualification earned within the last ten years.
- The timeframe for the filming and production, which may take many months, requires that you be available for the entire time.
- All show activities, such as challenges, interviews, and other events, must be acceptable to you.
- Applicants must be able to produce documentation proving your identification and employment eligibility in New Zealand.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally strong. Proper COVID-19 Vaccination is mandatory.

Michael P Dearth:
Although Michael Dearth is not a cook, he is an expert on food. The Grove and Baduzzi, two of the multi-award-winning restaurateur’s popular eateries, have made a big impression on the Auckland culinary scene. He has swiftly established himself as a household figure associated with excellent taste as a judge on MasterChef NZ 2022.
Nadia Lim:
Nadia Rui-chi Lim is a well-known celebrity chef, businesswoman, culinary author, and television personality from New Zealand. She was born on December 21, 1985.
As a proponent of whole, natural foods and for developing wholesome, nutritious meals by putting a health emphasis on food, which is informed by her background as a professional dietitian, Lim is known as the self-styled “Nude Cook”.
Vaughan Mabee:
Vaughan, an Auckland native, began his apprenticeships in nearby restaurants after a few brief stints as a young child washing dishes and working in kitchens. He travelled around the United States for over nine years after moving to California out of a desire for more food, becoming an executive chef in his mid-twenties.
