- On April 16, 2023, Channel 4 began airing the British reality television programme Scared of the Dark TV Show.
- The Scared of the Dark Channel 4 TV Show hosted by the Danny Dyer.
- Danny Dyer serves as the host as eight celebrities spend eight days in total darkness. How will those without light fare, including Paul Gascoigne, Chris Eubank, Scarlett Moffatt, Nicola Adams, and others?
- Eight famous candidates participate in what is called a “world first” in which they live, work, eat, and sleep in a specially constructed set for 180 hours (8 days) while being completely blinded by darkness.
- Dr. Tharaka Gunarathne, a clinical psychiatrist, co-hosted the programme with Danny Dyer and observed and evaluated the participants’ actions.
- In contrast to the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! exit method, the contestants might shout “I’m scared of the dark” at any point to leave a task or the competition.
- In a darkly lit area known as “The Vault,” the celebrities might converse with a camera.

Danny Dyer:
- Daniel John Dyer, an English actor and presenter, was born on July 24, 1977.
- Dyer’s breakout role was Moff in Human Traffic, and he has had prominent parts as Tommy Johnson in The Football Factory, Mick Carter in EastEnders, Billy the Limpet in Mean Machine, and in EastEnders.
- Dyer has also worked in theatre, appearing in three of Harold Pinter’s plays. Dyer and Pinter were good friends.
- In the role of Mick Carter, Dyer joined the cast of the BBC soap series EastEnders. In 2015, 2016, and 2019, he won the National Television Awards’ Serial Drama Performance honour.
- In the video games Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004), Dyer provides the voice of Kent Paul. He also features in the 2007 music video for “Two Lovers” by The Twang.
